Providing the structure

Similarly, as for new compound registration, the structure and an Id should be provided.

Steps for drawing a structure e.g with a salt component:

Preliminary steps:

• • pyridine compound has been already registered previously

  • HCl (Hydrochloride) as salt is already present in the salt DB

1. Draw pyridine and HCl

2. Set the LnbRef

3. Click on Register

The successful registration is summarized in a window, where the allocated Ids are listed: PCN, CN and LN. Since pyridine structure was already registered previously, the new lot will be registered under the existing PCN (CXN218) but under a second version (CXN218B) and as a second lot within the tree (CXN218-002):

Using the Register lot functionality

A user can easily register a lot of an existing compound by just providing the parent or version Id. If PCN or LN is known, there is no need to provide a structure in order to register it.

Steps for registering:

1. Enter an LnbRef

2. Click on the Register lot option on the More actions menu located next to the Register button:

   

3. In the "Register to existing structure" window provide the CN or PCN and hit the the Search button

4. If the returned structure is one that you want, click on the Register to existing structure button.

The successful registration is summarized in a window, where the allocated Ids are listed: PCN, CN and LN. The new lot will be registered under the existing PCN (CXN218) and choosen version (CXN218A) and as a third lot within the tree (CXN218-003):
