Coordination compounds JS

You can use coordinate bond to represent coordination compounds (complexes).

The coordinate bond can represent the connection between an atom and another atom or group of atoms. According to IUPAC recommendation, these structures can be depicted in two ways:

  • an arrow between two atoms, which represents a coordinate covalent bond between one atom and another;

  • or a dashed line between an atom and a group of atoms, which represents dative connection between the group of atoms and a single atom.
